The dedicated servers for Evolve, the 4v1 monster hunting shooter from 2K and Turtle Rock, are being shut down on September 3, 2018

Although not quite the final nail in Evolve's coffin, the move will have a huge impact on the multiplayer-only title.

For instance, the move will spell the end for online leaderboards, the in-game store, and the ranked game mode, Hunt.

It also means Evolve Stage 2 -- the revamped free-to-play version of the title -- will no longer be available on PC.

Peer-to-peer multiplayer will still be available in Legacy Evolve on PC and consoles, and 2K has stressed that all players will retain purchased DLC content such as Hunters, Monsters, and skins.

For anyone looking to embark upon a last-minute spending spree, virtual currency bundles will be removed from Evolve Stage 2 as of July 2, so be sure to drop some cash before then. After that, you'll have until September 3 to spend any remaining dollar.

For more information on how to keep playing Evolve after the servers have been scrapped, check out the FAQ over on the 2K support page.
