Newsbrief: Square Enix and United Front Games' Sleeping Dogs rose to the top of the UK sales charts in its opening week, outselling Nintendo's latest 3DS release New Super Mario Bros. 2. It's notable, however, that New Super Mario Bros. 2 still managed to climb to second place, despite only being available on one platform compared to Sleeping Dogs' multiplatform release. Additionally, Chart-Track doesn't report digital downloads -- New Super Mario Bros. 2 is also available on 3DS' digital eShop storefront. In fact, the new Mario title was the best selling individual format game last week, outselling both the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Sleeping Dogs, according to Chart-Track's official statistics. Last week also saw the long-running reign of the official London 2012 game end as the Olympics wrapped up, although the title still managed to reach position three despite a 37 percent drop in sales week-over-week.
