Star Wars: Battlefront creative director Dennis Brannvall is leaving developer DICE after eight years.

Brannvall joined DICE in October 2012 and initially worked on Battlefield 4 before joining the Star Wars Battlefront team as lead level designer in June 2014.

Since then, he's worked on the franchise in a number of roles, serving as associate design director on Star Wars Battlefront II, before being named creative director in 2019. Now, around a year later, Brannvall is departing the studio and the franchise with it.

"I still remember when we first got the Star Wars contract and the entire studio meeting was filled with goose bumps and tears of joy," he wrote on Twitter. "Eight years later the journey is over and I'm moving on from DICE at the end of this month. Thank you all. May the Force be with you, always."
