The company said that strong sales of the game helped the Wii achieve the 39 million units sold figure, revealed earlier this year. The console saw a 50 percent increase in hardware sales month-over-month for February, with 228,000 units sold. Elsewhere, Nintendo noted that Super Mario 3D Land has now sold 1.9 million units in the U.S., while Mario Kart 7 has sold 1.5 million.
