Super Mario Odyssey has surpassed 1 million physical sales in Japan since launching on October 27.

According to a new report from Famitsu (translated by Gematsu), the acclaimed platformer has sold 1.05 million copies at retail.

Earlier this year, Odyssey broke Japanese sales records by racking up the most week one sales of any 3D Mario title.

Famitsu also revealed that Switch hardware sales have reached 2.98 million units in Japan, meaning it's close to surpassing the Wii U's lifetime Japanese sales total of 3.3 million.

It's yet another positive indicator for the hybrid console, which last week topped 10 million sales worldwide.
