Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD, the latest installment and the first downloadable title in the arcade skateboarding series, sold approximately 120,000 copies in its first week on sale, developer Robomodo has told Gamasutra. The downloadable reboot for the classic arcade skateboarding franchise was released earlier this month for Xbox Live Arcade. Notably, this 120,000 sold figure doesn't include PSN and PC sales, for which the game is launching via both later this year. Josh Tsui of Robomodo also told us that day-over-day sales are "staying very consistent" thanks to great word of mouth between Xbox 360 owners. He believes sales for the digital title have been solid since "people are more apt to try games that are smaller and downloadable." The title, launched as part of this year's XBLA Summer of Arcade, will hit PSN in late August, and later this year for PC. "It should be interesting to see the sales on PC -- we've been surprised how many people are asking for that," noted Tsui. Tsui also discussed how the game wasn't exactly a huge risk for Activision, and divulged whether or not his team plans to bring any more Tony Hawk's titles to downloadable platforms. The full interview will be available on Gamasutra soon.
