As an independent game developer, I often take on contracts of various types. I generally only accept those which are of personal interest to me, and this is just such a case. In my current project, on behalf of the Polish government, I'm attempting to figure out what opportunities may exist for Polish game companies in the U.S. market.

Polish developers have actually been active on the scene since the 90s, but not many folks know which companies are involved, or what they've done. I'm always interested in exposing under-represented markets, but I've also spent a fair amount of time in Poland, as a few members of my team live there. This has given me the opportunity to meet a bunch of developers in the region, and the idea of being able to help these developers succeed, and perhaps to help their government define what incentives they might offer to their indiginous companies - that's quite interesting to me.

Further, once I've completed this report, I can use it in talks at future game conferences, opening up the data to others. So long as I don't sell it, whatever data I gather can be made available for free.

With all my reasoning stated, please fill out this short, 8 question survey about the Polish game industry. It doesn't matter whether you're in the industry, your responses will be equally useful as anyone else's. If all goes well, this project will indirectly help every game developer in Poland, as the Polish government builds policy, budgets, and incentives related to game development.

I should emphasize that if you're from Poland, please don't answer the survey! That may skew the results in unhelpful directions. Everyone else though, answer away! And if you feel I've missed anything, feel free to mention it in the comments, or more helpfully, in the survey itself.

Thank you!!!
