The Pokemon Company and Bandai Namco today announced Pokken Tournament, a fighting game spinoff for the main Pokemon franchise built in the Tekken engine. As part of a livestream, The Pokemon Company president Tsunekazu Ishihara revealed the new title will be released sometime in 2015 for arcade machines, although he did not comment on whether the game will eventually come to console. A brief teaser video for the game was shown, featuring two Pokemon fighting in a classic fighting-style manner. The Pokemon Company had previously stated that a "shocking" Pokemon announcement was on the way this week. We'll update this post as more details come in.
