Newsbrief: Finnish mobile studio Bon Games has raised $1.4 million in seed funding as it gears up to launch its debut title.

The fledgling outfit was only founded last year, but has grand ambitions of becoming one of the leading developers in the 'tycoon' genre.

The company will use the cash to publish its first game, Transit King, in cooperation with fellow Finnish outfit Fingersoft.

"The mobile market has long had a hole that Transit King will fill," said Fingersoft CEO, Teemu Närhi.

"The game's target audience and needs have been carefully thought through. To us, it was clear that we wanted to join Bon Games in conquering the worldwide tycoon game market."
