Taking place this week, E3 is one of the largest annual video game trade shows, helping generate some $40 million in direct spending for Los Angeles. The city has hosted E3 for 16 of the 18 years it has been running. The Entertainment Software Association, which organizes the show, though, told the Los Angeles times that it's yet to resolve issues with the city over the planned Farmers Field stadium addition to the Convention Center. "We love being in Los Angeles, but we also have a show to put on." ESA is still in negotiations with the city over the matter, but it says the issues need to be addressed soon. Executives close to the group claim that other cities under consideration for hosting the show include San Francisco, New York, Chicago, and New Orleans.
