Fall Guys has evolved beyond its premium origins to officially become a free-to-play title.

Mediatonic, which was purchased by Epic Games last year, said the battle royale platformer would become free-to-play on all platforms in June 2022 and has now made good on that promise.

Effective today, Fall Guys can now be played for free on PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and the Epic Games Store.

To monetize the title, Mediatonic will be releasing a paid season pass that grants access to items such as emotes, cosmetics, and celebrations, although the studio has assured players there "will continue to be a free progression path" that also grants unlockables.

Notably, Fall Guys is also now unavailable on Steam, with the popular title having become an Epic Games Store exclusive on PC.

That said, anybody who's already purchased the game on Valve's marketplace will continue to receive new content and updates.
