Opinion: How will Project 2025 impact game developers?
The Heritage Foundation's manifesto for the possible next administration could do great harm to many, including large portions of the game development community.
At GDC 2015 a panel of developers seasoned by first-hand experience with online toxicity will arm attendees with real-world advice and experience that will allow them to weather any internet storm that comes their way.

For game developers who interact with the Internet at large over their games and views, simply doing your work often comes with a price.
Harassment, abuse and threats have all been part of the industry landscape for years for those making online games, and online toxicity has only become worse in the past six months. At GDC 2015, developers Elizabeth Sampat, Zoe Quinn, Neha Nair and Donna "Danicia" Prior will share what they've learned from their interactions with the harshest online elements in a talk entitled "Game Developer Harassment: How To Get Through."
They'll share what steps to take, how to mitigate damage, and survive - logistically and emotionally. No one should have to go through this, and no one should have to go through it alone.
Their panel is part of the GDC Advocacy track of talks, all of which are open to all GDC attendees, regardless of what type of pass they purchase. You can find the full lineup of awesome advocacy-centric talks at GDC 2015 via the Advocacy track session list.
A list of all announced talks is available in the online GDC 2015 Session Scheduler, where you can begin to build your conference week and later export it to the up-to-the-minute GDC Mobile App, coming soon.
GDC 2015 itself will take place March 2-6 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. For more information on GDC 2015, visit the show's official website, or subscribe to regular updates via Facebook, Twitter, or RSS.
