The Heritage Foundation's manifesto for the possible next administration could do great harm to many, including large portions of the game development community.
Die-hard gamer wants to land dream job in the game industry! Won't you please give a great guy the chance to live his dream?
Greetings all!
I am a die-hard gamer and have been all my life. Since I was 13, I've played games on every system I could get my hands on (a COMPAQ luggable with 7" green screen, Pong, Intellivision, Atari, TRS-80, Nintendos, Gameboy, GBA, Xbox, Xbox360, PS1, PS2, PS3, PSP, iPhone, some others I can't remember!). When I was youger, my dream job was to be a game tester... now that I'm older, I'm still fascinated by the gaming industry, and would love to spend the rest of my professional career working in it!
I have many and varied talents, ranging from high level project management at firms such as AOL, Time Warner, Temple-Inland, and Road Runner, to extensive retails sales and management in the pet and software industries. I can learn anything fast, LOVE spending countless hours playing games, and would consider a QA or project management job in the game industry to be the ultimate career experience.
I currenty reside in Omaha, NE, but will be moving my family back to Austin, TX as soon as I (or my wife) can secure employment. Hopefully, Gamasutra can be my gateway to making that dream become a reality!
Cheers,
Dave
