Her Interactive chief creative strategy officer (and former CEO) Megan Gaiser has announced she is leaving the company to pursue new opportunities as an independent consultant.

Her Interactive chief creative strategy officer (and former CEO) Megan Gaiser has announced she is leaving the company to pursue new opportunities, in in an official statement from the company. "It has long been my passion to use my leadership and expertise to improve standards around the portrayal of women in media," Gaiser said in a statement. "Now is the time to pursue this on a much broader scale." While Gaiser referred to her 15 year tenure with Her Interactive as "the adventure of a lifetime," she said she is looking forward to her new role as an independent consultant and industry advisor on the portrayal of girls and women in games. "We defined a market niche," said Gaiser. "I will forever remain a Her Interactive ambassador." Gaiser is well known for her role behind Her Interactive's successful Nancy Drew series of games. She has received a number of accolades including a lifetime achievement award from annual independent games festival IndieCade.
