The cash injection will fund the development of an unannounced open world survival RPG title designed specifically for VR. As part of the deal, Gumi Inc. CEO Hironao Kunimitsu will also join the inXile board.

The mysterious project will be inXile's second VR title, with the studio having previously worked on The Mage’s Tale, a dungeon crawler for Oculus Rift and Touch.

"Gumi shares my passion for creating deeper virtual reality games and I'm fortunate to have a partner to work with in this spectacular new medium," said inXile CEO, Brian Fargo.
