Hazelight Studios' acclaimed co-op adventure It Takes Two is getting the television and movie treatment.

According to Variety, production company DJ2 Entertainment has agreed to adapt the popular game for film and television.

DJ2 has a growing slate of video game adaptations in the works, and has already agreed to produce movies and television series based on properties like Disco Elysium, Life is Strange, and My Friend Pedro.

Hazelight founder and creative director Josef Fares believes It Takes Two's narrative beats and co-op sensibilities will help it make the leap to the big or small screen.

"Creating the world and story in It Takes Two was so much fun for me and the team," said Fares. "Since it has a strong narrative with many crazy characters and just as crazy co-op action moments, the potential is huge for a great adaption to film or television."
