Game service provider Keywords has acquired game marketing agency Fire Without Smoke for $6.9 million, expanding its ever-growing global service platform.

Founded in 2013, Fire Without Smoke offers a suite of creative and marketing options to publishers and developers, creating assets such as trailers, advertising art, and event materials for its clients.

The firm has offices in London and Montreal, and has worked with major game companies including Square Enix, Riot Games, Deep Silver, and Capcom.

Keywords believes Fire Without Smoke's expertise in creating CG trailers will be "of great interest" to its own client base, and hopes the move will strengthen its grip on the service industry.

In the wake of the deal, Fire Without Smoke's founder Will O'Connor will stay on as managing director, and the company will continue to operate as normal.
