Newsbrief: One of the biggest updates to the Unity Engine in some time landed today, as a completely new 2D toolset was added, along with new animation tools and a major Windows Store apps upgrade. Unity has been a 3D engine up to this point, but 2D tools for the engine were announced earlier this year. With today's Unity 4.3 update, the dedicated, streamlined 2D workflow tools are now out of beta and available to developers. There are plenty of other updates to the engine as part of this 4.3 upgrade too. The Unity website has all the details on what to expect.
