Microsoft announced that it will release a 320 GB Media Hard Drive for Xbox 360 S models, the system's largest storage solution not included in a bundle, in late October. Priced at $129.99 or the U.S., the hard drive will come with a download code for LucasArts and Traveller's Tales action game LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, which released earlier this year (download code will not be offered in Japan, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, and the UAE). The add-on can store "up to 95 full games, or 200 standard definition movies, or 40 high definition movies, or up to 975 standard TV shows" downloaded from the Xbox 360's various media and game services like Games on Demand, Xbox Live Arcade, and Video Store. Consumers could previously purchase 250 GB detachable hard drives for the console, as well as 250 GB versions of the Xbox 360 S. Hardware models with 320 GB hard drives have also begun appearing in limited edition bundles for Gears of War 3, Kinect Star Wars, and Modern Warfare 3. Sony began offering its own 320GB PlayStation 3 systems last year.
