Newsbrief: Guild Wars 2 publisher NCsoft has admitted that layoffs have occurred at its Seattle offices, as part of a move to realign its internal publishing resources. NCsoft's Lincoln Davis told PC Gamer that the realignment has resulted in "several employees and contract positions" being lost. "This was a very tough decision to make and we wish the best for all NCsoft employees in their next ventures," he added. The South Korean publisher faced reduced profits in a previous quarter this year, due to various layoffs at the company. It also closed California-based MMORPG developer Paragon Studios and its flagship game City of Heroes earlier this year.
