Opinion: How will Project 2025 impact game developers?
The Heritage Foundation's manifesto for the possible next administration could do great harm to many, including large portions of the game development community.
Playstation's VP of third-party relations told Twitter followers he'd be stepping down from PlayStation for a return to the world of indie game development.
Today on Twitter, PlayStation vice president of third-party relations Adam Boyes announced he would be departing PlayStation for a return to the world of game development.
Boyes, a longtime advocate at PlayStation for independent developers, was responsible for helping shepherd indie games like Transistor and The Witness to the PlayStation 4, and frequently worked to knock down doors for developers interested in publishing on the platform.
In 2014, Boyes explained to Gamasutra that Sony’s biggest priorities for bringing new indie devs to the PS4 were improving processes for developers, and opening communication with new developers to inform them about their policies.
Boyes writes on Twitter that he’ll be crossing over the fence to work in independent development, joining the ranks of the developers he previously brought onto the PlayStation 4. His departure follows that of his former colleague Nick Suttner, who left the company last week.
