Rise of the Tomb Raider's days as an Xbox console exclusive are almost up, with Sony revealing the game will make its PS4 debut on October 11.

The PS4 version of Rise will come with all the trimmings, including new skins celebrating the franchise's history, zombie and co-op survival modes, all existing DLC, and most interesting of all, an all-new PlayStation VR mission.

Both the undead survival mode, dubbed "Lara's Nightmare," and the virtual reality chapter will take place in Croft Manor.

Due to the inherently immersive nature of virtual reality, that PSVR level -- Blood Ties -- will turn Tomb Raider into a first-person experience for the very first time.

For a full breakdown of what to expect when Rise makes the switch, head on over to the PlayStaton Blog.
