Sega has sold over 350,000 classic titles since launching its Mega Drive and Genisis Hub on Steam on April 28, the company said Tuesday.

The Hub lets Sega fans revisit emulated versions of the company's retro hits in a virtual '90s themed games room, and also allows for the creation of ROM hacks for Genesis and Mega Drive titles

In the 20 days its been active, Steam users have purchased over 350,000 classic titles worldwide, while hundreds of custom ROMs have also been uploaded by the community.

“We’re really chuffed that the fans have got behind this update,” said the Sega Europe's director of digital distribution, James Schall.

"350,000 sales is a phenomenal achievement for content which is over 20 years old. It shows that there’s still a huge following out for the Mega Drive and Genesis, reinvigorated by the fantastic community of modders out there uploading great content."
