Both sales and profits are up at Square Enix, which posted its financial results for the nine month period ending December 31, 2015, earlier today.

Looking at the company as a whole, net sales were up to 152.8 billion yen ($1.3 billion), a year-over-year increase of 28.5 percent, while profits were up by 24 percent on the previous year, hitting 13.5 billion yen ($115.7 million) by the end of 2015.

Focusing on the company’s digital entertainment wing, Square says the “solid starts” made by Rise of the Tomb Raider and Just Cause 3 helped that segment earn 110.1 billion yen ($855.9 million) in net sales and operating income over the past nine months, a year-over-year rise of 46 percent.

Outside of its console releases, Square says its smart device and browser-based games continue to put in “strong performances”, with the company also earmarking MMOs such as Final Fantasy XIV and Dragon Quest X as consistent earners.

The publisher is currently forecasting net sales of 200 - 220 billion yen ($1.7 - 1.9 million) and profits of 11 - 18 billion yen ($94 - 153 million) for the end of this financial year.
