Standalone Kinect for Xbox One available from this October

Earlier this year, Microsoft launched the Kinect-less Xbox One in a bid to offer more options when purchasing the console. Now the company will make the Kinect available as a standalone product.

Newsbrief: Earlier this year, Microsoft launched the Kinect-less Xbox One in a bid to offer more options when purchasing the console. Now the company will make the Kinect available as a standalone product. From October 7, you'll be able to purchase the Kinect sensor as a standalone product. It will cost $149.99, and come with a copy of Dance Central Spotlight. Microsoft was keen to stress earlier this year that "Kinect remains an important part of our vision," although it's notable that there aren't a huge number of Kinect games currently in development.
