THQ Nordic has acquired Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams and Bubsy: The Woolies Strike Back developer Black Forest Games for an undisclosed amount, nabbing rights to a number of the developer’s intellectual property in the process.
The publisher, formerly known as Nordic Games, picked up 100 percent of Black Forest Games’ shares from its five founders, all of which will remain on-board with the development team following the acquisition as the studio works toward the launch of a yet-unannounced project.
THQ Nordic has also purchased the developer’s properties Giana Sisters, Helldorado, and Rogue Stormers, once again for an undisclosed sum, adding to the steady library of IP the publisher has built up over the years.
