Newsbrief: Vicarious Visions co-founders Karthik and Guha Bala have reunited, as promised, to form new indie game dev, Velan Studios

The pair left Vicarious earlier this year after spending 25 years at the studio they created, and eventually sold to Activision in 2005.

Velan is based in Troy, New York, and will focus on building "world class" experimental games and experiences.

A quick glance at Velan's job board reveals the studio will look to do that by designing its own in-house game engine and toolset.
