With the Xbox One due to launch in China tomorrow, Microsoft has admitted that it isn't quite ready, and has pushed the date back at the last minute.

A statement from Microsoft is rather vague as to why the delay has occurred, and does not provide a new release date. "Despite strong and steady progress, we are going to need more a bit more time to deliver the best experiences possible for our fans in China," it reads simply. The console will now launch in China "by the end of this year." The company adds that pre-orders for the console in China are "beyond are expectations." Update: Microsoft has told the Wall Street Journal that the console will now launch on September 29 in China. Apparently some of the games meant for launch we're ready for the previously proposed launch day.
