Yahoo eSports and ESL partner to create new events and ramp up coverage

Leading eSports broadcaster and organiser the Electronic Sports League (ESL) has entered into an two year partnership with fledgling reporting site, Yahoo eSports.

Newsbrief: Leading eSports broadcaster and organiser the Electronic Sports League (ESL) has entered into an two year partnership with fledgling reporting site, Yahoo eSports. 

The deal will see Yahoo cover key ESL competitions through its new Yahoo eSports platform with a focus on "exclusive editoral content" and "supreme quality" broadcasts.

Moreover, Yahoo eSports and the ESL will be looking to create new tournaments that can then be covered and distributed by Yahoo. 

"Our Yahoo eSports team is extremely excited to be partnering with ESL to bring greater coverage of its leading eSports events, as well as innovate in new competitive formats and content offerings," said Zachary John, VP of Yahoo Video and eSports.
