[Every week GameSetWatch editor-in-chief Eric Caoili rounds up the latest news/media for obscure and offbeat games from Gamasutra's sister site and alternative video game blog.] Over at GameSetWatch this week, we shared a number of fun stories during the past week, including a comical segment on green/indie/educational games by Fox News, a review of NYCFringe's Theater Of The Arcade performances, and more. GameSetWatch's highlights from the last week: Fox News Takes On Green/Indie Games: 'Is This Promoting Education Or Just A Liberal Agenda?' - I'm sure no one expected to see video of Thatgamecompany's Flower or mentions of Molleindustria's McDonald's Video Game on Fox News of all places, but that's exactly what appeared on the cable channel earlier this week in a segment titled "Video Games Go Green"! Chinese Theme Park, Arcade Games Knock Off Angry Birds - Window of the World Park, an amusement park in Changsha, China, is putting the popularity of Rovio's Angry Birds franchise to use in its attractions by featuring cut-out-boards (for photographs), a real-life game based on the puzzler, and more -- all unauthorized, of course. Joust Champion Successfully Rolls High Score At ICHEG - Lonnie McDonald is on a mission. His goal? To earn more than 9,999,999 points on every Joust arcade machine in the United States. His latest conquest is the Joust cabinet at the History of Electronic Game's eGameRevolution exhibit in Rochester, New York, which rolled its high score after a grueling six-hour battle. Videogame History Museum Goes $20K Over Funding Goal (pictured) - Despite concerns that the project would not get off the ground due to lack of funding, The Videogame History Museum has hit its donation milestone, and then some. The Museum's Kickstarter-driven donation drive ended this week with donations totaling $50,266, greatly exceeding the project's goal of $30,000. Charge Your Pheromone Shots: Gal*Gun Is Coming To PlayStation Move - If you're a PlayStation 3 owner who was saddened and betrayed by the fact that Alchemist's icky rail shooter Gal*Gun was released as an Xbox 360 exclusive earlier this year, your complaints have been registered, and you've successfully doomed your favorite console with an upgraded port set to be released this winter. The Theater Of The Arcade At FringeNYC - The oft-mentioned Theater of the Arcade recently made its long-awaited return at the New York Fringe Festival. There have been performances all throughout August, and it was supposed to end its run last Saturday. But all shows that weekend were cancelled due to Hurricane Irene, so tonight is everyone's final chance to catch the finest video game-inspired stage production one will find anywhere.
