Call for Entries - GDC Plane Jam 2013!

Are you going to GDC 2013? Are you going to be sitting on a flight patiently waiting for it to get to SF? If so, if you have the guts - join us in Plane Jam and make a game during your flight.

Lets face it, it sucks to be stuck on an aircraft, waiting till the moment the Captain tells you that you are about to descend into your destination. You could sleep but it's never really a restful sleep.

You could watch the films on the crappy screen but they never seem to drone out the noise of the screaming kids next to you. Don't get me started on the food or the endless queues for the toilets - sometimes it's hard to tell the difference between them.

So... what to do?

PLANE JAM!

This year a few of us travellling to GDC 2013 will be holding an informal Jam where we make a game on the flight.

This is all going to happen asynchronously as we aren't all on the same flight or even travelling on the same days - the key is to just make a game and have fun doing it. There isn't a theme yet but I'm sure some cool suggestions will happen.

This is open to everybody and is a fun way to ease the burden of sitting on an aircraft for hours and hours and hours and hours.

So feel free to announce participation here via the comments. I'll eventually make a web page to host whatever you make, but for now let's keep it simple.
