E3: Molyneux Clarifies Fable Kinect Misconceptions

Fable creator Peter Molyneux said that the recent E3 press demo of the Kinect-based Fable: The Journey misrepresented the final product, and that the game will not be an on-rails experience.

Fable creator Peter Molyneux said that the recent E3 press demo of the Kinect-based Fable: The Journey misrepresented the final product, and that the game will not be an on-rails experience. "I made a horrendous mistake on the press briefing demo by taking out the navigation, allowing players to move," Molyneux said in a video recorded by OXM. According to the video, the demo of Fable: The Journey seen during Microsoft's E3 press conference did not allow for player movement, but Molyneux insists that the final game will be different. "I'll just state on record now that Fable: The Journey is definitely not on rails," he said. Fable: The Journey, which uses the Unreal Engine 3, is an action-adventure title that allows players to battle monsters and cast spells using body and hand gestures.
