Batman: Arkham Asylum Swoops To The Top In UK

Warner Bros. and Eidos' Batman: Arkham Asylum tops both this week's UK all-platform and individual video game charts, bumping Wii Sports Resort and Ashes Cricket 2009.

Warner Bros. and Eidos' Batman: Arkham Asylum tops this week's UK all-platform charts, following its August 25 launch to critical acclaim. This bumps Nintendo's Wii Sports Resort, which has sold over 1 million units to date in the region, into second place. Codemasters' Ashes Cricket 2009 spends its second week in the third position, after two weeks of leading the charts. The publisher's Gusto Games, last week's third-placer, falls out of the top ten entirely. Wolfenstein, last week's number two, comes in at number four this week, while Wii Fit lost one place to come in at number five. Elsewhere in the chart, Codemasters' Ashes Cricket 2009 remained at number three for another week, Wolfenstein dropped two places to number four and Wii Fit dropped one place to number five. Chart-Track's all-platform chart for the week ending August 29 is as follows: 1. Batman: Arkham Asylum (Eidos) 2. Wii Sports Resort (Nintendo) 3. Ashes Cricket 2009 (Codemasters) 4. Wolfenstein (Activision) 5. Wii Fit (Nintendo) 6. Call Of Duty: World At War (Activision) 7. Mario Kart Wii (Nintendo) 8. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10(Electronic Arts) 9. Lego Batman: The Videogame (WB) 10. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (Activision) On Chart-Track's individual platform charts, which rank individual versions of a title, Batman also led: 1. Batman: Arkham Asylum (Eidos, Xbox 360) 2. Batman: Arkham Asylum (Eidos, PS3) 3. Wii Sports Resort (Nintendo, Wii) 4. Wii Fit (Nintendo, Wii) 5. Ashes Cricket 2009 (Codemasters, Wii) 6.
