Nintendo has a new DS Lite bundle to debut on August 21, which will include both the upcoming Brain Training sequel Brain Age 2: More Training in Minutes a Day alongside a newly launched 'crimson' colored handheld. While the top half of the new DS console will feature the new glossy crimson color, which Nintendo says is 'reminiscent of a dangerous shade of lipstick or a cherry-red sports car,' the bottom half will be cast in matte black. The combination offers, according to Nintendo, “an Onyx yin that complements the Crimson yang.” This color joins the already available Polar White model, as well as the Coral Pink and Onyx Black DS handhelds, which were first released in North America last August. Brain Age 2: More Training in Minutes a Day, which will debut at retail the day before the bundle's release on August 20, is the sequel to Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day, the flagship title for Nintendo's Touch! Generations label, used globally to differentiate the company's particularly 'mainstream'-oriented titles. The game is already available in both Japan in Europe, and includes 15 new brain training exercises designed to challenge players in areas such as math, memorization and music. According to Nintendo, the original Brain Age title sold an impressive 8.61 million units globally, including more than 1.4 million in the U.S, while Brain Age 2 has already sold through 5.33 million units in Japan.
