The editors of Game Developer magazine are asking game professionals to contribute technical articles to the Maggie Award-winning magazine for game professionals, as well as put themselves forward to review game tools for the magazine's Tool Box section. The sister print publication to Gamasutra.com, Game Developer is delivered to over 35,000 active game developers every month, including every single top North American developer or publisher, and continues to be the leading organ for the game professional. The magazine is constantly seeking out articles on cutting-edge game development techniques in the areas of graphics, AI, or network programming, audio design and engineering, art and animation, game design, quality assurance, and project management - written by those who know the challenges best: professional game developers. However, Game Developer's editors are particularly interested in technical (code and art-related) articles that relate to next-gen or advanced game creation, ideally (but not necessarily) written by developers working on commercial PC, console, or handheld titles. Writers will be provided a monetary 'honorarium' for their articles. In addition, Game Developer is looking for active code or art-oriented developers who would be interested in reviewing game tools for the magazine's Skunk Works section. Applicants need to have the ability to get practical and in-depth with detailed tools, and have experience working directly in the game industry. Those interested in writing for the magazine in either of these ways should contact th Game Developer editors via [email protected], explaining their experience, and including a brief synopsis of any article they'd like to write - or expressing interest in reviewing for Skunk Works.
