With no major new releases this week, Activision's movie tie-in Spider-Man 3 has retained its number one position in the UK sales charts, helped by the belated release of the PlayStation 3 version. Sales for the title are again led by the PlayStation 2 version, which accounts for 49 percent of copies of the game sold this week, compared to 19 percent for the PlayStation 3, 15 percent for the Xbox 360 and 8 percent for the Wii. With Command & Conquer 3 also maintaining its second place position, the upper half of the top ten is largely static, with the most significant movement being Crackdown at number eight, which has moved up eleven places as consumers try to snap up packs still containing access to the ongoing Halo 3 beta. Nintendo's Brain Training (aka Brain Age) is another re-entry in the top ten, on the back of renewed television advertising, while EA's Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 moves up four places to number six largely due to sales of the Wii version, which accounts for 52 percent of the title’s sales this week. In fact, these movements help to mark another strong week for Nintendo formats in the UK, with seven titles in the top ten on either Wii or Nintendo, versus four each for both Sony and Microsoft, taking multiple SKU releases into consideration. Elsewhere in the top forty, the only new entry is Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters for the PSP at number thirty-five – the series never having enjoyed the same level of success in the UK as in North America. Re-entering the charts this week is Marvel: Ultimate Alliance at number thirty-eight, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess at number thirty-nine and Nintendogs: Lab & Friends at number forty.
