Sales of Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 1 have already exceed 1 million downloads since its releases on March 19th, according to publisher Activision. The map pack contains four new multiplayer maps and is priced at 800 Microsoft Points ($10) on Xbox Live Marketplace and $9.99 on PlayStation Network. The 1 million figure is for combined sales across both formats. In a separate press release, Microsoft revealed that the map pack has set a new record for the number of downloads in its first week on Xbox Live. Although this figure was not revealed, the company claims that more than 150 million multiplayer sessions have been played of Call of Duty: World at War in general. "I'm proud that the team at Treyarch delivered an experience that so many people are enjoying," says Mark Lamia, studio head at developer Treyarch. "We're excited that the success of Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 1 will continue to drive the popularity of the game's Nazi Zombie mode, competitive multiplayer and chart-breaking success online." "The success of Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 1 speaks to Treyarch and Activision's ability to provide fans with quality content during a time when people want to get the most out of their Call of Duty experience," adds Maria Stipp, executive vice president and general manager of owned properties at Activision.
