Sierra has announced 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand for a Fall 2008 release, a sequel to the 2005 PlayStation 2 and Xbox title Bulletproof featuring the hip hop star. The title is being developed by Swordfish Studios and produced by Kamran Pasha, producer of Bionic Woman. In addition to the titular rapper, Blood on the Sand, slated for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, will feature voice and likeness of 50 Cent and G Unit's Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo and DJ Whoo Kid, and will add unreleased music from the artists exclusive to the game. The game casts players as one of the hip-hop stars battling to protect 50 Cent’s assets and to collect payment from a crooked overlord. It promises combat gameplay with multiplayer co-op, in addition to driving and aerial combat. Sierra Entertainment global marketing VP Al Simone commented, "50 Cent and shooter fans everywhere came out to support 50 Cent in Bulletproof and made it a multi-million unit selling video game. Gamers will be excited that 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand will provide the ultimate 50 Cent next-gen game experience."
