505 Games has announced it will handle European distribution for real-time strategy title Supreme Commander, slated for Xbox 360 later in 2008. THQ published the PC version of the title, co-developed by Hellbent and Gas Powered Games, in February 2007. Aspyr Media (Dreamfall: The Longest Journey, Stubbs the Zombie) will publish the Xbox 360 follow-up in North America, although THQ previously announced it at the end of 2007. Supreme Commander puts gamers in control of one of three factions fighting to control the future of mankind. Expanding on the Supreme Commander universe, the Xbox 360 edition will add new units, updated maps and new multiplayer modes for play online via Xbox Live. 505 managing director Ian Howe commented, "We’re thrilled to be bringing Supreme Commander to market in Europe. It’s a product of exceptional quality with a fantastic pedigree, we are delighted to be working with Aspyr, Hellbent and Gas Powered Games, and look forward to great success for the title in Europe."
