Actor Rourke To Voice 'Demo Dick' In Bethesda's Rogue Warrior

Bethesda will tap actor Mickey Rourke for the voice of Navy SEAL Richard "Demo Dick" Marcinko in its upcoming Rogue Warrior. Rourke, whose turn in The Wrestler recently earned him accolades including a Golden Globe and an Oscar nomination, "absolutely, one-hundred percent captures Marcinko’s raw and gritty personality," according to Rogue Warrior EP Todd Vaughn. The game's based on a New York Times bestseller and ensuing series of novels written by Marcinko, based loosely on his own military experience. The character of "Demo Dick" is tasked with a secret mission to disrupt a North Korean missile program, and finds himself caught up in a geopolitical power conspiracy. Rourke's career spans a number of other well-known films including Rumble Fish, Nine ½ Weeks and Sin City. Bethesda says he was their first choice for the role in the game.
