AMD and Ubisoft today announced a limited-time promotion that will bundle a free 32-bit version of Far Cry with any 64-bit AMD system purchased from a participating vendor between now and June. Though the released version of Far Cry is still 32-bit, AMD is touting its 64-bit processors as the ideal playback platform for the game. Available soon will be a beta 64-bit version of Far Cry, an enhanced version that will offer improved visual detail, such in the beaches, which are modeled with high-resolution pebble textures instead of low-detail sand textures, and a greater rendering envelope, with the scene extending out to 800 meters. For more details, visit AMD's 64-bit Far Cry page.
