Publisher Atari has announced that is will publish UK developer Atomic Planet Entertainment's (Carol Vorderman's Sudoku) Jenga for the Nintendo DS and Wii this November. Based upon Hasbro's popular tactical tabletop game, Jenga has players attempt to remove blocks from a tower without making it fall. The first player who makes the tower collapse loses the game. In this video game adaptation, Atari officials note that each version will take advantage of the unique control systems afforded by the Wii and Nintendo DS. While few details have been announced, the game will feature an emphasis on physics, and include “exciting new enhancements, power-ups and twists,” as well as both single and multiplayer game modes. “Fans of the Jenga family of games will fall in love with this exciting brand all over again,” said Jeremiah Cohn, senior product manager at Atari. “We are thrilled to deliver this timeless and renowned game with new variations and surprises for the Nintendo DS and Wii.”
