Rockville, Maryland-headquartered Bethesda is continuing to expand its operations, adding a Benelux sales and marketing office in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. The new post joins the company's London, Tokyo, Paris and Frankfurt offices; of those, the latter two were founded in April of this year. The Fallout 3 developer's parent company, ZeniMax Media, also announced last month its acquisition of Arx Fatalis developer Arkane Studos, which is based in Lyon, France and has a studio in Austin, TX. The company says Bethesda's Benelux office will act as an operations base for sales and marketing across The Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg, and as such is a demonstration of the global publishing reach for which the company aims. General manager Menno Eijck will head up the new studio -- most recently, he held the same role for Namco Bandai's Benelux office. "This is another exciting step for Bethesda Softworks. The opening of the Benelux office comes as we look to the launch of our terrific 2011 AAA line-up of games, including Hunted: The Demon’s Forge, Brink and Rage," says Bethesda Europe managing director Sean Brennan. "Menno brings with him a wealth of experience which will benefit us greatly," he adds. "We are very happy to welcome him into the ZeniMax family."
