The seven are Microsoft, Eidos, Ubi Soft, JoWooD Productions, Namco, Turbine, and Crave. Each company had to place a deposit between $10,000 to $100,000 to bid on the various asset groups. To bid for all of the assets, a $250,000 deposit was required. There was no indication as to what assets each bidder was interested in specifically. The auction will take place on August 14. 3DO filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on May 28.
