Billboard Adds Digital Entertainment to Roster

Billboard (as in the popular music and film magazine) has added a Billboard Digital Entertainment event to its roster. The annual conference and awards event, which will include recognition of video games for the first time this year, is slated for Nov. 4 and 5 in Los Angeles. Winners in the Games sector will fall into categories such as Game Innovation of the Year; PC or Console Game of the Year; Advergame of the Year; Best Character in a Game; Best Use of Sound in a Game; and New Developer’s Award, among others. Submissions for the event began June 15 and close on Sept. 15.
