Gaming guru Brian Fargo has announced his return to the industry as the head of new developer inXile Entertainment. The company’s first title will be a revamp of The Bard’s Tale series of RPGs – the title with which Fargo is most famously connected. The company, which is also staffed by various other experienced RPG developers, models itself after Hollywood production companies like Miramax and New Line Cinema and will seek to fund its production by selling off territorial distribution rights and taking additional financial risk itself for increased profitability.
