CCP's Danielsson To Pen EVE Online Novel

CCP's sci-fi MMO EVE Online is set to receive the novelization treatment with EVE: The Burning Life, published by Tor Books. CCP's Hjalti Danielsson, the New Eden universe's main creative writer, will pen the book, to be published in North America this November. He's worked on EVE Online in a variety of roles since 2003, the company says. CCP also says the book is intended to stand on its own in terms of appeal to sci-fi fans, at the same time it acts as a complement to the backstory of EVE Online's universe. "Though the player-driven drama unfolding daily in EVE Online is the essence of our virtual world, CCP firmly believes that EVE can transcend the boundaries of a single medium to offer new ways of experiencing its richness," says CCP business development VP Thor Gunnarsson.
