Codemasters has announced it will publish the Blue Omega-developed Damnation, a new franchise set to launch on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC in the summer of 2008. Codemasters calls the title a "shooter gone vertical," featuring inspiration from American history as a battleground on which the human race is pitted against an arms dealer bent on world domination. Gameplay will revolve around action combat and daredevil stunts and acrobatics, promising up to three hours of gameplay per level. Players can also use a variety of vehicles, from motorbikes to armor-piercing craft. In addition to the single-player game, Codemasters says Damnation also adds a set of multiplayer options across the game's levels.
