This week, our regular Critical Reception column looks at the fast twitch world of competitive ping pong, with Rockstar's Table Tennis for the Xbox 360, a title that has drawn largely positive reviews from critics for its alternative take on sports. At the high end of reviews is Eurogamer's Tom Bramwell, who contends that the game is "very, very good" and that "superficially it's incredibly simple. You learn everything in five minutes, and then it takes hours to master." His only qualm with the game is "that with just four single-player tournaments to bash your way through it's not going to keep you picking away meaningfully for that long - although the range of achievements to gun for might extend that a bit." You can read the full Gamasutra column for more, including info on the average overall score, more on the reception from consumer review sites Yahoo! Video Games and GameSpy (no registration required, please feel free to link to this column from external websites).
