Criterion Software has announced the forthcoming release of Renderware 4, Renderware Studio 2, and support for Sony's PSP mobile gaming console. A key new feature of Renderware 4 will be highly optimized graphics pipeline that aims to achieve both high quality and high performance across supported console and PC platforms. The Renderware toolchain for PSP will add support for the PSP platform to Renderware and Renderware Studio, though since full details on the PSP feature set and release schedule are not available from Sony, Criterion is not yet able to describe its PSP support in detail, except to say that "looking forward to delivering the full RenderWare toolchain for PSP" and "the ability to effectively plan, manage, collate and execute game production" for the platform.
